TS: the constant fear of government brings up the basic survival instincts in th eparty members

BA:Another big issues we 're dealing wiht right and also brings up the survival instincts in people now is hunger, especially after wars, when the economic stands of the certain country are very low and many essential things like clean water, food and hygiene supplies are missing.

TS: Because the members of the Party in 1984 follow blindly and unconsciously, their thoughts can be easily controlled by Big Brother.

BA: This is dangerous in today’s society because by following a leader blindly, a population gives its rights up to its government because they are no longer thinking for themselves or questioning authority.

Ts- The Party aims to extinguish the possibility of individual thought by creating a new language, Newspeak.

Ba- Today the exact opposite is happening. Individuality is something everyone wants to possess and is encouraged by the government.

TS: Fear shown by the people creates the human instinct of supressing the truth to survive

BA: The people of the world might suppress their true gut feelings in order to survive in a harsh situation.

Ts: the elimination of language is not only to stop a rebellion, but to dehumanize the people and turn them into animals.

BA: Even today we are losing words, the vocabulary of the youth is becoming increasingly smaller. Little do we know but Big Brother’s deeds are being carried out without him imposing them on us. We will no longer be separated from the animals.

TS- The Party has full mind control over the people

BA-Orwell’s society is not too far from Iraq and Sadam Hussein’s reign. If you did any thing against him, then you were tourchered then killed.

TS: Orwell's idea suggests that the party concepts such as freedom, ignorance, and war in the grey zone; concepts that people are aware of but are not able to talk about in the wrong way.

BA: The concept of the grey zone is prevalent in real-world politics because such persuasion is a pervasive element of much nationalism.

TS: Big Brother and the inner party are trying to cut down the vocabulary of a single person to one word so that way people cant think for themselves and Big Brother will have complete control over everyone becasue they can't think of anything against Big Brother if they don't have the vocabulary to do it.

BA: In our government, they are trying to get rid of anything negative that the people have to say about Bush and our government. If you speak out against the president or about the government, then you can get into pretty big trouble and that is the same thing for the people in 1984. If they speak out against Big Brother, then they are in major trouble...killed.

TS: Syme's intelligence will one day get him in trouble or even killed.

BA: By Syme being to intelligent, George Orwell is showing that in the society that they live in, being to intelligent is very bad.
